Ahoy there landlubbers! There’s a whole world you are missing out on below the surface! Go on, dip that toe!
Here’s why you should make that leap(dive) of faith.
When you scuba dive, you simply leave all your problems at the surface and become at peace and one with nature. The further down you go, the more far away your problems seem. It is the perfect way to get that relaxation that you need!
Get to Know Yourself
In the fast paced world we live in, it’s easy to get lost in all the mayhem and not have time for yourself. Diving tests your skills of self preservation, patience and self control. Under water, it just you. Breathing control, saving body heat and making only deliberate actions in order to save your air, are few of the things you add to your skill set, which you can use on dry land as well!
No matter how many buddies you dive with, at the end of it all, the experience you take away is uniquely yours.
The BEST Way to See the World
Ever had the dream of seeing the world? Well, since 71% of the earth is covered by water, the most logical way to see it would be through that snorkel. You can definitely make your best memories in the most unlikely of places.
One Universal Language
There is no religion, caste, race or gender under water. There’s just one universal sign language, and bonding with your buddies without words or inhibition. Discrimination does not exist, it teaches you how powerful body language is and appreciating all your other senses.
Sense of Freedom
Neither floating nor sinking under water is buoyancy control. Once you master this, without the risk of being cliché, the world is your oyster. Diving gives you that desired feeling of weightlessness and the sense of freedom which you cannot experience anywhere, even gravity can’t bring you down!
Depth of Discovery
Once underwater, you will experience creatures you never dreamed of. The colours, shapes and sizes will never cease to amaze you. Experiencing vast array of fish, following sea turtles, watching marine life eating, playing or simply being, spotting your first electric eel or shark, exploring a historic shipwreck or looking at beautiful live corals, each is a unique experience of its own.
What you can see and experience is limitless. Nature will always surprise you.
Divers, you know what I’m talking about. And no, it’s not a reference from the movie "The Fault in Our Stars” ;)
